Pomfret School, a co-ed, independent, college preparatory boarding and day school consisting of 355 students in grades 9 – PG, is seeking an English/Humanities teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. Teaching positions report primarily to the Assistant Head of School and requisite Academic Department Chair(s) while receiving responsibility-specific feedback from the leaders of the other programs served. Teaching positions are 10-month, full-time faculty positions, and will begin mid-August, 2018. As is our standard, all teaching positions at Pomfret School are one-year appointments to be reconsidered annually. Preferred candidates will have teaching experience in a residential or day school setting and a strong desire to live and work in a boarding school environment. Candidates deemed most qualified hold advanced degrees.
