International School of the Peninsula
The International School of the Peninsula seeks an Upper Elementary School English Teacher for the 2018-2019 school year, beginning in the middle of August.
The UES English Teacher must demonstrate commitment to ISTP’s mission and the population we serve, as well as be experienced with teaching at the elementary school level. He or she must also be responsible, self-motivated, friendly, willing to work with a team of colleagues, and be accepting and adaptable to a working environment with different cultures.
The position involves teaching through inquiry according to the PYP framework, while also ensuring foundational skill acquisition, and collaborating extensively with English, French, and Chinese teachers. Time for collaboration with the other teachers is built into the schedule. ISTP seeks teachers who know how to combine academic rigor with student engagement and have experience with inquiry-based teaching and learning.
