Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School (HIES) is seeking an Upper School English Teacher.  HIES is the largest Episcopal Parish independent day school in the country, serving 1,400 students and offers a fully accredited college preparatory program for students age three through 12^th grade.  HIES is located north of downtown Atlanta between I-75 and GA 400. 

The Upper School English Teacher is primarily responsible for teaching all levels of English courses that provide students with a solid understanding of the coursework in the Upper School Humanities Department.  Previous teaching experience World Literature, British Literature or American Literature is required.

 Typical Duties

• Instruct five sections of Upper School Literature courses.
• Develop lesson plans and monitor student performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional activities and environment.
• Update and maintain student academic records and performance metrics in Whipple Hill software application.
• Communicate regularly with parents, students and colleagues regarding student progress.
