| The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) is seeking a full time French Immersion 4th grade classroom teacher at Shape American Elementary School (SAES) , Belgium. DoDEA operates 166 schools in 8 districts located in 11 foreign countries, seven states, Guam, and Puerto Rico. All schools within DoDEA are fully accredited by U.S. accreditation agencies. Approximately 8,700 educators serve more than 72,000 DoDEA students. SHAPE American Elementary School (SAES) was recognized in 2012 as a National Blue Ribbon School for academic excellence. SAES was ranked among the highest performing schools in the United States in both English Language Arts and Mathematics as measured by normed assessments. Our school is located near Mons, Belgium at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) which is NATO's Strategic Military Headquarters. The SHAPE Community is composed of 28 member countries and an additional 22 Partnership for Peace (PFP) nations, making it one of the most culturally unique military settings in the world. Within this vital and diverse community, SHAPE American Elementary School exists not only to educate the children of American service men and women and civilian employees assigned here, but also to educate the children of all other NATO and PFP nations. |
