Lower School - Classroom Teacher Fifth Grade 2018-2019 The Wardlaw+Hartridge School, located in Edison, New Jersey, seeks an experienced, dynamic, and resourceful classroom teacher for our Lower School Division, to teach 5th grade Humanities classes of English/Language Arts and Social Studies. This faculty member will join a growth-oriented, collaborative learning community of skilled, dedicated teachers. Successful candidates will have three or more years of experience in Lower School and will be able to demonstrate strengths in communication with parents, assessment and evaluation of students and execution of developmentally appropriate curricula. Lower School teachers report to the Lower School Head and work closely with the faculty, support staff and parents. A Lower School teacher must be able to communicate well with both children and adults. Professionalism, a strong work ethic, flexibility, and a growth mindset are essential in this position. Minimum Qualifications: All candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the school’s mission and core values of Integrity, Opportunity, Support, Diversity, Community, and Sustainability. Demonstrated success crafting curricula with a global perspective and framework. A Bachelor's/Master’s Degree with a concentration in Elementary/Early Childhood and three or more years of teaching experience preferred.
