Job Description: The Upper School Social Studies teacher develops students’ ability to read, think, write, and speak critically about the study of history with an emphasis on analysis, themes, and connections to current events. This position teaches a variety of Social Studies levels, including Advanced Placement. A successful teacher in this position has the flexibility to teach unique and diverse groups of students using a variety of facilitation and assessment methods and resources. As a member of a small Upper School faculty, a successful candidate must also be able to work closely with and communicate collaboratively with fellow teachers to ensure a positive Upper School environment.
