Our Lower School Spanish Department seeks an experienced, innovative native Spanish teacher for the lower levels (grades KG- 4) to join our dynamic and collaborative faculty in the Lower School. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional learner to contribute to program development across the Lower School.
Whitby offers differentiated Spanish instruction to all students from our toddler classes to grade 4. We are seeking a candidate with an in-depth knowledge of language acquisition, developmentally appropriate curriculum, a demonstrated pattern of effective communication and collaboration. The successful candidate will exhibit the highest standards of professionalism. Knowledge and experience of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program would be a distinct advantage.
Is a native Spanish speaker
Holds a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education
Has a minimum of three years’ experience teaching Spanish
Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background check
In depth knowledge of language acquisition theory and practice
