About Three Rivers Union School District
Three Rivers School District is a single K-8 district with 140 students located in Three Rivers, CA, at the gateway to Sequoia National Park. Our mission is to perpetuate a tradition of excellence in education and to nurture the development of our students so that they will experience their full potential as human beings and participate responsibly in their society. Our school is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and somewhat isolated. We have only one class at each grade level, and all teachers except one live locally. We offer our students a variety of supplemental activities in varied curriculum areas: math, science, technology, language arts, writing, and art, as well as outdoor education opportunities. Our parents are very involved in the school activities and are present on a regular basis as classroom volunteers. State modernization plans have been approved, and we are currently in line for much-needed state modernization funding. We plan to put a bond issue on the November ballot to further support modernization construction.
