IDEAL CANDIDATE: This is an ideal role for an education professional or recent graduate of an education program with either Montessori training (certified or in process) or a strong interest in Montessori.
JOB SUMMARY: Assistant Teachers support Lead Teachers in the Early Childhood classrooms and work closely under the direction of the Lead Teacher. Assistant Teachers attend regular (weekly) program level meetings and classroom team meetings. S/He reports directly to the Early Childhood Director who observes, advises, and serves as a mentor to all faculty in Montessori methodology, curriculum management, classroom schedules, record keeping, and the classroom environment. The Assistant Teacher, along with the Lead Teacher, is responsible for the daily oversight of their students’ classroom experience, as well as partnerships with parents, professional and personal growth, collegiality, and administrative duties.

-BA/BS degree strongly preferred
