Summary Description: -Work in a mixed age 1-2 years old classroom with assistant teachers, teacher's assistant(s) and 8-10 students-Supervise assistant teachers, and student assistants -Lead a summer program experience for toddlers.-Much of the day will be spent out of the school in playgrounds, and walking trips to visit local areas. -Follow the daily plan as provided by the Director
Minimum Qualifications: BA degree in Early Childhood Education, with an Initial License and the following NYS Teacher Certification tests must be completed: AlST, EAS, CST, and edTPA. At least 2 years experience working with young children under the age of 5 years. Must be comfortable and experienced leading groups of children out of the school setting.
Preferred Qualifications: -Masters degree in Early Childhood Education-Ability to speak a language other than English, such as Spanish or Mandarin -Background in the arts, whether visual, musical or dance
