We are expanding and are in need of several Assistant Teachers!
Looking for THREE professional, caring, energetic assistant teachers that are motivated & works well with others. These individuals will be working with children ages 3 -16 months, 12-24 months, and 18-30 months in teaching teams of three. These individuals will be sensitive, mature and who are able to relate well to both children and adults.
The assistant teachers we hope to hire will be members of a three-person team working with infant, toddlers and young twos. We "loop" teachers with children between three months and two years of age, so you may expect to be the primary caregiver for the same small group of children for one to two years.
Little Beginnings, a non-profit, parent cooperative, full-day child care center in Arlington, Virginia, is looking to hire two full-time assistant teacher positions. We are proud of our small group sizes and low adult-child ratios. We use the Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum a framework for our curriculum and Dr. Becky Bailey’s Conscious Discipline® program to teach children self-regulation and conflict resolution skills. Preferred: CDA or 2 yrs of college with 15 credits in Early Childhood Education
Minimum Course work/training in Early Childhood Education
Preferred : 2+ years of experience as an assistant teacher in an early childhood education center with at least 1 year working with infant/toddlers
