The Diversity Admissions Manager (Admissions Recrmt Suvp 2) will provide centralized management and analysis for two areas: the Office of Student and Resident Diversity and the Admissions unit, both located within the School of Medicine. This position works closely with the School's leadership in the development/recruitment of quality applicants, management of the admissions portal, screening of applications, oversight of the interview season and oversight of post-selection processing for all programs, including Community Health Scholars, MD/PhD program, etc.Required:--Experience developing and implementing programs for student outreach, recruitment, and admissions in an education setting.--Experience working with diverse community programs, boards and committees.--Supervisory experiences to train, monitor, evaluate, and document human resources issues and performance.--Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills .--Working knowledge of policies on discrimination and issues that URM's face in higher education.--Knowledge of basic accounting principles and familiarity of fiscal management policies and procedures.--Working knowledge of LCME IS-16 and MS-8 Standards.--Experience in the use of but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite, Internet and other web-based tools.Preferred:--Assessment skills to learn complex School of Medicine and Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) admission practices, processes, procedures and systems.--Experience and skills interpreting policies, procedures, and guidelines.--Working knowledge of Health Disparities in medicine.--Working knowledge of socially economically disadvantaged and URM pipeline programs.--Knowledge in the field of diversity, particularly, in relation to groups in an academic health center environment (faculty, residents, medical students, and pre-medical students) as well as local diverse communities.
