The ideal candidate will possess prior teaching experience, excellent communication skills, proficient use of instructional technology in the classroom and a polished background in differentiated instruction and assessment. The candidate will expertly infuse the student experience with opportunities for hands on learning and the application of 21st century skills, while prioritizing the mastery of foundational science concepts and skills. We seek teachers who will thrive in delivering a skills-focused program in which students are encouraged to apply material to real-world situations. We seek to inspire curiosity in students, and make the classroom a safe environment to make mistakes, iterate, and find success in progress. Candidates’ pedagogy will be enhanced by the richness of our 60-acre campus and resources such as an organic garden, Pickering Creek, water monitoring station, native meadow and a STEAM center.
Interested candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and ideally three years of teaching experience; Master’s preferred.
Applicants should submit a cover letter, resume, and 3 references to Paulsson Rajarigam, Interim Head of Middle School (email@example.com). Please only include Science Teacher in the subject line of your email. No phone inquiries please.
