Studio Teacher, Classical Trumpet
Description: Seeking a classical trumpet instructor to begin Fall quarter 2018. Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of private instruction in classical trumpet, a Bachelor's degree in Music and professional experience as a trumpet performer. Preferred qualifications include a masters or doctoral degree in music, a visible and significant record of activity as a professional performer, and experience recruiting high school students to pursue higher education studies in music.
Duties of the instructor include teaching weekly, individual 50-minute lessons for classical trumpet performance majors, assisting the department with yearly auditions, quarterly juries and recruitment, and completing mandatory training online. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and any appropriate collective bargaining agreements.
