Reports to: Children’s Center Director

Position Overview: Fessenden Children’s Center is currently seeking teachers for our mixed infant/young toddler room and our young toddler room.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Applicants must also be available to work between the hours of 7:30am and 4:00pm, Monday - Friday, year-round.
Write progress reports as required throughout the year.
Communicate with co-teachers in a positive and respectful manner.
Able to work in a diverse environment, as our staff, student body and their families come from a variety of cultures.
Position requires ability to perform with minimal supervision.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
2 years consecutive related experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Critical thinking skills and the ability to problem solve
Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and customer service
Ability to work independently, strong organizational skills; ability to establish and manage multiple priorities
Need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds, sit of the floor and push a stroller with multiple children.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Lead Teacher or Teacher Certified through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC).
Degree in Early Childhood Education.
Current CPR/AED & first aid certification.
