Purnell School is seeking an enthusiastic part-time dance teacher. Classes take place Monday-Friday between the hours of 4pm and 6pm. (Classes could be 90 min to 105 min depending on availability.)
Candidates will have experience teaching high school students of mixed levels from beginner to advanced in the same class and have background in most of the following styles: Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and/or Tap. The ideal candidate will be able to commit to 4 days a week and teach a variety of those styles.Choreography experience is a plus as students attend one competition in the spring and Somerset County’s Teen Arts. Performances are held in November and May and include a repertoire of pieces created throughout the year.
Bachelor’s degree in dance or related field highly desirable or equivalent professional experience.
Reliable transportation needed. Compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience.
