Calvert School, an independent lower and middle school, is searching for a temporary Long-term Third Grade (9th Age) Homeroom Substitute Teacher. Calvert School is located in Tuscany-Canterbury, a residential neighborhood in Baltimore City, just north of Johns Hopkins University and south of Loyola University, accessible from Charles Street and I-83.
Substitute teachers play a pivotal role in the overall education of our students. We are looking for a talented professional to teach Third Grade to girls. The teacher will be responsible for the daily instruction of reading, writing, and math. The teacher will manage the daily affairs of a classroom including parent communication. The assignment will begin in mid-November 2018 and end in March 2019.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with prior teaching experience. Prior experience teaching elementary age students in a school setting is preferred. A State of Maryland and FBI background check will be performed.
