We are looking for a science teacher who is committed to student success, fosters an environment of learning for multiple levels of students, willing to think outside of the box, be resilient and adaptable, and contribute to the DKJA team environment. Planning, preparation, and commitment to excellence is a must. Flexibility for PT or FT.
The candidate must be able to:
Teach middle school science courses including but not limited to life sciences, physical science, and environmental science with a knowledge of physics and chemistry
Plan for differentiation of curriculum to meet student needs
Relate well to parents and students at all levels and maintain ongoing communication between the parents and the school
Monitor student progress and report information in a timely manner
Work well in collaboration with peers
Serve as an advisor to a select number of students
