Saint Benedict Catholic School seeks a Art Teacher to Fall 2018.
The Art Teacher will teach all PK – 8 art classes. The art program is designed to teach students about different artistic styles and mediums. Students are exposed to great artists and reflect on what is beautiful and enduring about their work, including experiencing works on display at the nearby Museum of Fine Arts. The focus of our art program is for the students to engage with art in an active and hands-on manner.
hold a bachelor’s degree or better from an accredited college or university
hold a Virginia Teacher Certification or have the qualifications necessary to obtain one upon hire
have a passion and commitment to classical education
be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing
be able to collaborate effectively
be able to work effectively with students one on one and in small groups
upon employment, be able to pass criminal background checks
Candidates should submit a letter of interest, resume, statement of educational philosophy and a Diocese of Richmond Application for Employment.
Candidates without an appropriate Virginia Teacher Certification will be considered to fill the position for the remainder of the academic year as a long term substitute.
