St. Theresa School located in Ashburn VA has an immediate opening for a full-time Middle School Social Studies teacher (6th - 8th). The curriculum includes both World History and US History.
The successful candidate will have an active VA teaching or VCEA license, experience with Active Boards and online grading, and be a practicing Catholic. Each candidate should work well as part of a middle school faculty team that actively engages students in their faith formation, academic instruction, and the development of the whole person. Once hired, the school expects faculty members to stay current with professional development activities, as well as to participate in the school's in-services, meetings, and other events.

St. Theresa School, "where Christ is the ever-present lead teacher", is a 450 student K-8 school with an energetic and committed staff, dedicated PTO and a collaborative leadership model. The school was established in 1993 by Monsignor James W. McMurtrie and founding principal Jacqueline MacKenzie, with 150 students in grades K-6. The first graduation took place in June 1997. Today, our pastor is Father Richard M. Guest, who built our new church in 2009, and our principal is Mrs. Erin O'Malley
