Bishop Ireton High School, a Catholic college preparatory school of approximately 780 students, seeks to hire an energetic, passionate religion teacher to begin employment in early November 2018. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-- Teaching within the USCCB curriculum guidelines.
-- Working in collaboration with the Religion Department, campus ministry, administration, and other constituents to enhance Catholic Identity and build the Body of Christ through classroom instruction, liturgy and service projects.
-- Supporting the mission of the school in word and deed.

-- MA degree in Theology or Religious Studies from a Catholic college or university is strongly preferred

-- Comprehensive knowledge of the teachings of the Catholic Church and relevant USCCB curriculum guidelines
-- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communications skills
-- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet all deadlines

-- Courses include sophomore and junior level religion classes

Bishop Ireton is a college preparatory, co-educational high school serving students from across the Washington Metropolitan area in grades 9 through 12.
