Make a difference in the lives of at-risk children by implementing the Preschool for All program as a Master Teacher in our Head Start classrooms. Our teaching and family support staff collaborate to ensure that children are “kindergarten ready”, develop life-long learners and support parents’ and caregivers’ involvement in the education of their children.
Develop and implement individualized learning that meets the social, emotional, developmental, and intellectual needs of all children in the classroom.
Conduct developmental screenings, weekly child observations and regular assessments.
Use observations and assessment information for lesson planning.
Illinois Teaching license with an Early Childhood endorsement or a Type 04 certification a plus; current participation in Teach for America Type 04 credential project may be accepted.
Three years Lead Teacher experience or five years early childhood teaching experience preferred.
Knowledge of Creative Curriculum Preschool Edition, Teaching Strategies GOLD, and Child Plus is preferred.
