The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university\u2019s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.

The individual holding this position will report to the Chair of the Family Medicine Department for their overall and academic work, but will report to the Medical Director of his/her Family Health Center for clinical work.
Faculty member will have a total of eight half-days per week comprised of a combination of direct patient care with embedded supervision of other learners at their OHSU Family Health Center. Preference will be given to individuals with greater weekend and evening availability in the clinic.
This position will also receive one half day per week for scholarship.
Individual will receive one half day per week for a combination of teaching and completion of administrative tasks.
This role will share weekend and holiday coverage for patient care, consistent with other faculty participants.
Faculty physicians will attend on the Family Medicine Inpatient Service (inpatient medicine/pediatric service or FMIS D) between six to eight weeks per year. Inpatient (medicine/pediatric) service and obstetrical care are strongly preferred, but not required.
The faculty member will be expected to have a strong commitment to developing the family medicine practice into a vibrant, successful clinical and academic operation.
Once established in practice, all providers are encouraged to provide Physician Assistant (PA) supervision, and are compensated for this supervision.
The faculty member will be expected to participate in continuing education, professional and faculty development, and scholarship as directed by the Department of Family Medicine.
All faculty members are expected to take an active role in the committee structure of the School of Medicine, to attend faculty meetings, and participate in faculty and professional development programs.
Compensation for the position will include a base academic salary paid through the academic department plus a clinical salary from an incentive system based on the success and productivity of the practice, as well as personal initiative. The clinical salary will be paid by the Faculty Practice Plan.
