Chelsea School is seeking a full-time, highly-qualified Careers Teacher for the 2018-19 school year. The primary duties will include teaching three sections of a 12th grade career class (meets daily), as well as one section of 11th grade careers and one section of 8th grade careers. In addition to this, the careers teacher will oversee transition activities at the school including: IEP implementation, college application process, SAT and ACT preparation, college scholarship process, linkage with state agencies, career and college readiness, etc. Chelsea School specializes in educating college-bound students with learning disabilities.

Ideal Candidates will meet the following criteria:
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Experience working with students with learning disabilities, dyslexia, ADHD, and other disorders.
Familiarity with a variety of multi-sensory, systematic, structured instructional programs and practices.
Experience assessing student progress toward achievement of benchmarks goals and objectives.
Ability to prepare students for SAT and ACT testing
Competence in writing IEP goals and objectives in the area of transition
Excellent communication and organization skills
Familiarity working with student records including: neuro-psychological reports, academic testing, IEPs, etc.
