The Artist/Teacher of cello will teach undergraduate and graduate applied cello students on all tracks, including music education; coach chamber music; perform with the faculty string quartet; recruit students for undergraduate and graduate programs; engage in significant professional activities; maintain regional, national, and international visibility in string pedagogy, and solo and/or chamber music performance. Other duties as assigned.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
DMA (or ABD) preferred. MM, with significant teaching and performing experience considered. Seeking an actively performing cellist who has significant interest and experience in cello teaching and pedagogy. The ability and desire to recruit and maintain a studio of university cello students is required.
