Rosslyn Children’s Center is seeking a passionate and experienced early childhood teacher to join the RCC team, focusing on children aged two and under. Ideal candidates will be experienced with infants and toddlers, have the ability to take initiative, and partner with their teaching team to provide developmentally and age appropriate experiences for the children in the center.
Responsibilities and Duties
Support teachers in implementing classroom curriculum and activity plans that contribute to the care, growth and development of the children assigned to his/her classroom.
Be knowledgeable of the emergency and ongoing safety procedures required and in place according to state, county and center regulations and policies.
Participate in maintaining a clean and orderly environment conducive to optimal growth and development of children in accordance with center, state and county licensing agencies and policies.
Assist children with self-care activities.
Communicate with parents, staff and administration in a friendly, open and positive manner, according to center policy.
Communicate in a timely manner with other members of the teaching team (as applicable) and administration of any concerns or ideas which require action.
Support the administrative team with emergent needs when not in the classroom.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
AA or BA in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
2-3 years of experience teaching children in a group setting
Ability to maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance
