The Baldwin School is seeking a part-time Assistant Teacher for the Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs. The part time Assistant Teacher will work 3 days per week from 8:00am-1:00pm, preferrably Mondays, Wednesday and Thursdays. Responsibilities will include working collaboratively with the lead teachers to establish a classroom environment that supports the social, emotional and academic development of the ECC students. Job duties will include but are not limited to:
Assisting lead teachers in planning, designing, and implementing curriculum.
Providing support for whole class, small group and individual instruction in the classrooms.
Assisting students at lunch and snack time.
Help in maintaining a clean and organized classroom.
Performing car duty.
Assisting with one-on-one journal writing in Kindergarten.
Leading small Kindergarten reading groups.
Helping to prepare lesson materials and craft materials.
Walking students to and from special classes.
Other duties, as assigned.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood or elementary education. This position is an opportunity for new teachers to work directly in a classroom with the support and supervision of our expert faculty.
