Instructor of Educational Administration, Superintendent Licensure Program

The Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education at Ohio University invites applicants for a non-tenure track, adjunct Instructor position in the Superintendent Licensure Program (SLP) within the Educational Studies Department. The successful candidate will teach at the Chillicothe campus during the upcoming spring semester (beginning January 2019); additional future instructional opportunities may be available.
Candidates should have an educational background related to teaching Educational Administration. The successful applicant will bring strong qualifications, both academically and professionally, in the field of Educational Studies. Candidates will be expected to teach SLP Program courses.

Faculty in The Patton College are expected to be flexible with regard to instructional formats (i.e., online instruction, regional campus cohorts, Blackboard (Bb) usage, and evening/weekend instruction) and embrace engagement in field work and professional internships in order to promote a clinically-based model of teacher education as recommended by the NCATE Blue Ribbon Panel. The College of Education offers licensure, masters, and doctoral degrees. Our programs emphasize engagement with pedagogy for equity, and preparing educators as advocates for social justice. We are looking for candidates that will contribute to these goals, bring a strong commitment to teaching, and will work with colleagues in the Department of Educational Studies to improve democratic educational leadership.
*Earned doctorate degree in Educational Administration or related field.
*At least three years of experience as an educational administrator in P-12 schools, or related areas.
*Demonstrated ability to collaborate productively with other educators at the university and/or in K–12 schools to improve educational administration programs.
