The Sutter County Superintendent of Schools is seeking an innovative educator to join our strategic leadership team. The Special Education Principal will be responsible for site level instructional leadership, teacher motivation and insuring quality student education. A person skilled in collaborative communication, with knowledge and experience with a variety of disabling conditions, and a desire to make a difference in student outcomes will be a strong candidate. The Special Education Principal can expect a high level of administrative and team support to ensure their success in this position.
Valid California Special Education Credential
Valid California Administration Credential
A master’s degree in special education and/or school leadership preferred
Three (3) years of successful teaching, related services, or supervisory experience
Must possess and maintain a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's License and have available private transportation
Additional Salary Information: Management Salary Schedule - Level IV: $118,778 to $137,747 annually. (Stipend for M.A. or Doctorate). Benefits included in salary – 100% employee paid.

About Sutter County Superintendent of Schools
Sutter County Superintendent of Schools Office (SCSOS) plays an important role in the continuum of special education services offered within Sutter County. SCSOS operates 37 special day classes (SDC) serving the most significantly disabled students in our County. We provide programs that serve students from preschool through Adult Transition, who are deaf and hard of hearing (DHH), multiply handicapped (MH), severely disabled (ID), autistic (ASD), emotionally disabled (ED), and combination classrooms that serve all disabilities (NC). Additionally, SCSOS provides regionalized special education services to 10 of the 14 school districts within the county and itinerant DHH services to both Sutter and Yuba County schools.
