Germantown Friends School is seeking a part-time music educator to teach an Upper School jazz ensemble, Upper School improvisation class, and assist the Middle School Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble. Additional teaching (depending on applicant’s qualifications) may include teaching private woodwind lessons (clarinet, oboe, saxophone.)
The successful candidate will have exceptional woodwind skills, have experience teaching ensembles and improvisation, and enjoy working with students in all divisions. The hours for this position would be in the range of 4-16 hours per week. The candidate will work closely with other music teachers, especially with the directors of large ensembles. A Bachelor of Music in Education or Performance is preferred.
