The Marion Cross School community in Norwich, VT, is seeking a skilled and caring educator to serve as its next principal. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a talented staff and a supportive community. The school serves approximately 300 students, from pre-kindergarten through grade 6 and highly values community engagement and student interaction with the natural world. The Marion Cross School is among the highest performing elementary schools in Vermont and has been recognized nationally. Marion Cross is part of School Administrative Unit 70, the nation’s first interstate school district, and students attend middle and high school in Hanover, NH, the home of Dartmouth College.
Situated in the beautiful Upper Valley of the Connecticut River, a short drive to the Green Mountains of Vermont and the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the area offers innumerable recreational opportunities. The principal is responsible for the day-to-day management of the school, the oversight of all certified staff members and instructional assistants, the development and management of an operating budget of nearly $6 million, and maintenance of the strong relationship between the school and the larger Norwich community.
Minimum qualifications for the position include a relevant Masters Degree and eligibility for Vermont principal certification.
