Holy Family School is a K-8 co-educational Catholic school located in South Pasadena, California. We are a small school located in one of the most active Catholic parish communities in the archdiocese. Holy Family School is a vital part of the faith community and parish life at Holy Family. The principal of Holy Family School will work under the supervision of the Parish Life Director, and in partnership with the Holy Family School Board and parish community to achieve the mission of the school:
The mission of Holy Family School is to instill Christian values and Catholic principles in students through the Gospel message of Jesus. We foster and nurture the development of the whole child and strive to achieve educational excellence. We are guided in faith and principle by our Schoolwide Learning Expectations, and we work toward enabling our students to grow and be successful in attaining them.
We are seeking a principal who has demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills and welcomes the opportunity to lead a school of proven excellence grounded in Catholic teaching. Holy Family offers a diverse curriculum, innovations in educational technology with a focus on 21st century learning, and an emphasis on meeting the educational needs of each individual student. Programs offered at Holy Family are intended to develop the whole child through academic excellence, spirituality, sportsmanship, and creative expression. This is all carried out in the supportive and caring community of the school and church. We want a principal who possess the skills necessary to achieve our goal of developing graduates who are caring, self-disciplined, and confident in their preparation and ability to be responsible citizens and compassionate leaders of the future who epitomize Catholic values.
Practicing Catholic who is committed to Catholic education
Minimum 5 years teaching experience, at least 2 of those 5 in Catholic education
Preference given to candidates with administrative experience as a principal and/or vice-principal
Earned Master’s degree in Education or Education-related program
California Credential (teaching and/or administrative)
Preference given to candidates with Catechist Certification
