Tabor Academy seeks a compelling and passionate musician to oversee our Instrumental Music program. Responsibilities include teaching and directing the wind and string ensembles, teaching a variety of electives such as Musicianship and Digital Music, and conducting the jazz band. The Instrumental Music Teacher will also coordinate student requests for private music lessons and will assist in the performing arts when necessary and appropriate, such as casting and conducting the pit orchestra. In addition, s/he will assist in planning musical performances at weekly all-school chapel services as well as the larger annual concerts and events that occur in the Wickenden Chapel (Lessons and Carols, Seasonal concerts), in conjunction with the Choral Music Teacher. As well, the Instrumental Music Teacher will tend duties in the evening as a house parent, and serve in the afternoon program the equivalent of two seasons. The position includes housing.
