Provide reading intervention in small group settings to struggling middle-school readers in the Houston Independent School District.
Use research-based reading materials to provide instructional reading intervention for qualifying middle school students who struggle with reading.
Assist in adapting intervention materials to enhance student reading.
Compile intervention data gathered from instruction sessions.
Organize and administer materials for intervention.
Participate in training and advising of intervention personnel.
Administer standardized tests to students.
Performs other job-related duties as required.
Bachelors and 3 years experience
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience. Requires professional licensing, certification or registration directly related to the job, as specified on a job description addendum.
