The Baldwin School is seeking a long-term Substitute Assistant Teacher for the Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs beginning mid-March 2019, for approximately 12 weeks. Responsibilities will include working collaboratively with the lead teachers helping girls develop readiness skills. Job duties will include but are not limited to:
Assisting lead teachers in planning, designing, and implementing curriculum and activities to meet the intellectual, physical, emotional and social needs of the Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students.
Providing support for whole class, small group and individual instruction in the ECC classrooms.
Assisting students at lunch time.
Help in maintaining a clean and organized classroom.
Performing car and bus duty before and after school.
Other duties, as assigned.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in early childhood or elementary education. The long-term substitute teacher will have the opportunity to work directly in the classrooms with the support and supervision of our expert faculty.
Teachers with prior experience in a Pre-Kindergarten and/or Kindergarten classroom preferred. We are looking for someone who is energetic, creative and loves working with young children!
