Lincoln School, founded in 1884, is an independent K-12 Quaker girls' school in Providence, Rhode Island. We are currently seeking a full-time Physical Education teacher for the 2019-2020 academic year.
Qualified candidates will have experience working with students in elementary school and an ability to develop and teach a comprehensive physical education program that emphasizes health and wellness including building confidence, cooperative skills, physical health, strength, sports skills, positive social skills, and the value of exercise.
Specific responsibilities of the position include N-8 curriculum development, daily planning, and teaching, as well as coaching one season in our after-school, interscholastic athletics program. A Bachelor's degree in Physical Education/Health and Wellness is required; a graduate degree is preferred.
