BB&N is seeking a full-time history teacher for the Middle School, grades 7 & 8. The candidate hired will teach three to four classes and work in our co-curricular/Advisory program, advise students and support student programs. Additional responsibilities will vary according to current program need and new initiatives. The goals of the history program are twofold: to give students the knowledge to make informed judgments and decisions about contemporary issues, and to develop the skills essential in understanding and communicating those ideas.
The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in history or a related field, and a Masters' degree in history, education or a similar field. Preference will be given to teachers with 3-5 years teaching experience.
