Newark Academy, a 6-12 independent day school in suburban NJ and located 30 miles from NYC, has an opening starting August 2019 for an Upper School mathematics teacher, most likely teaching geometry and pre-calculus. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years classroom experience and possess a Masters level degree in the relevant subject area. Newark Academy expects all teachers to contribute to extra curricular programs, so ability to advise, coach, or lead clubs is taken into consideration as well.

Founded in 1774, Newark Academy is the second oldest day school in the state of New Jersey, and one of 11 pre-Revolutionary schools still operating in the United States.
