The advancement office at Emma Willard School is seeking a Director of Annual Giving to join their dynamic team. The Director of Annual Giving partners with the entire advancement team to build a culture of philanthropy that strengthens and sustains the mission of the Emma Willard School. The Director leads the creation and management of a comprehensive, strategic, and integrated effort to build the base of alumnae and parent donors and increase their level of philanthropic support through the $2 million + Emma Fund. In addition, the Director manages a pool of the school's leadership-level prospective donors and to personally engage these constituents in supporting the mission and programs of today's Emma Willard School.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of seven years’ prior relevant fundraising experience, preferably in higher education or independent schools. The candidate must have volunteer management experience and curiosity, interest and if possible, knowledge of new technologies being adapted to the fundraising field. The candidate should have strong interpersonal communication and writing skills. The candidate should be well-organized and be able to work on a variety of projects and meet multiple deadlines. An appreciation for independent school education for girls are preferred.
