The Saranac Central School District Board of Education announces a search for a Superintendent of Schools. The Board is seeking an outstanding educational leader committed to supporting and promoting a climate of excellence for students, faculty, staff and the Saranac community. The District's mission is, "To provide all students the opportunity to receive quality instruction that will develop their ability to achieve high standards; to guarantee guidance and caring support that will help them learn to apply acquired knowledge to life situations and to become lifelong learners." There are three buildings with approximately 1,480 students enrolled in grades PreK-12. Saranac (www.saranac.org) is located in Upstate New York’s Clinton County approximately 15 miles west of Plattsburgh and 35 miles east of Lake Placid, New York, as well as within close proximity to Montreal and Burlington, VT. The desired start date is July 1, 2019.
