Applicants must have a minimum of a Master's degree plus a minimum of 5 years teaching experience with relevant administrative experience. Demonstrated success and longevity in a secondary school environment is strongly encouraged. A NM Administrative licensure or ability to attain a NM administrative license through reciprocity is a requirement for the position.
About East Mountain High School
East Mountain High School is a model college-preparatory public charter school that provides outstanding learning experiences which engage, challenge and inspire each individual to achieve excellence. EMHS is located in Sandia Park, New Mexico, a rural mountainous community about 30 minutes east of Albuquerque. The school serves approximately 360 students in grades nine through twelve and is an alternative to the two large traditional high schools in the geographical area. EMHS has developed a statewide reputation for educational excellence, earning an "A" grade from the New Mexico Public Education Department for seven straight years—one of only two high schools in the state to do so.
