The Archdiocese of New Orleans is excited to announce the opening of a new school. St. Therese Academy - a School for Exceptional Learners will serve elementary and high school students with mild to moderate learning disabilities through a 21st Century program of personalized learning. This model will follow a highly individualized curriculum with a low student-teacher ratio to allow for learning to be tailored to the students' unique abilities and learning styles. The curriculum will include traditional courses including physical education and art and music therapy. The team of educators will be comprised of qualified faculty and supported by a specialist in curriculum and instruction.
The Archdiocese of New Orleans is seeking a strong, creative and collaborative educational leader. Professionally, this person has a certificate in Special Education, working knowledge of special education administration and a minimum of five years teaching or administrative experience. Personally, the candidate possesses a deep commitment to and practices the Catholic Faith.
