Upper School Spanish Teacher
The Hun School of Princeton
The Hun School of Princeton seeks a full-time Upper School Spanish Teacher for the 2019-2020 academic year. Student-centered lesson plans and the integration of technology in the classroom are increasing emphasis at the school as is our effort toward interdisciplinary, experiential, and skills-based instruction. Responsibilities will include the teaching of four sections, serving as an advisor, and coaching up to two seasons (or the equivalent). A successful candidate should have experience in teaching all levels of Spanish, be able to communicate at the native or near-native level in both speaking and writing and conduct classes in the target language at least 90% of the time. The ability to teach French as well would be a plus. An undergraduate degree in Spanish (or a related discipline) is required, and a Master’s or Ph.D. would be highly valued. At least three years of independent school teaching experience is preferred. Interested candidates should send a cover letter and resume to Ms. Jen Mitchell, Modern and Classical Languages Department Chair, at jennifermitchell@hunschool.org. No phone calls, please.
