The Institutional Research Programmer Analyst is responsible for the development and maintenance of a database necessary to assist School leadership in evaluating institutional effectiveness, strategic planning, benchmarking, budgeting, program evaluation, student recruitment/retention, enrollment trends, and space allocation methodology. The primary focus for this role is to design and build a data platform that allows for quick and actionable access to information needed for strategic planning for the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences as well as reporting to UCI campus entities. The analyst will directly engage with academic departments and administrative staff to design, transform, and develop data architectures that meet the evolving needs of the School. Position reports directly to the Director for the UCI Center for Statistical Consulting, with future projects encompassing data management and programming needs of UCI researchers. Duties may also be expanded to data collection/management responsibilities for other projects seen fit by School leadership. The incumbent decides in conjunction with supervisor and school leadership what data should be regularly collected and reported, how that collection should be done, and gathers and inputs the data.
