Ensworth is now accepting applications for a Grade Five science teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. Qualified candidates will have earned a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university and have significant science teaching experience.
The Grade 5 homeroom team consists of 5 teachers and 1 teaching fellow in departmentalized classrooms for Humanities, Math and Science. The science teacher teaches all 5 homeroom groups, meeting four classes per day throughout a 7-day rotating schedule.
Close collaboration with colleagues is necessary and expected. In partnership with families, teachers work to understand, guide, challenge and nurture their students as the children learn to think creatively and work both cooperatively and independently.
