In the Physical Education department at Flintridge Prep, we cover a wide variety of sports and games that range from the nontraditional, such as cricket, team handball and badminton, to traditional ones such as basketball, football and soccer. It is important that candidates be willing to learn new games and skills, so as to be able to teach these skills to the kids. The department emphasizes trust and teamwork, respect and character throughout the year in our classes, and we play many games to reinforce these beliefs. In addition, we are looking for someone who can not only teach P.E. but also coach a number of middle school sports – including but not limited to track, soccer, basketball, football and/or baseball. The successful candidate will have an athletic background and like to work patiently with kids. Our department is filled with an outgoing staff who loves to collaborate with one another and build on each other's ideas to enhance our curriculum. Flintridge Prep welcomes candidates of all backgrounds and experiences. Please send a cover letter and CV to Sarah Cooper, Dean of Studies, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
