Georgetown Preparatory School, the nation's oldest Jesuit high school, is currently seeking a full-time French teacher for the 2019-20 academic year. Applicants must be fluent in French, must be capable of managing 3-4 different preparations daily, and must demonstrate experience with all levels, including AP French Language and Culture. A Bachelor’s Degree in the appropriate teaching area is required, with a Master’s Degree preferred OR a combination of an unrelated bachelor's degree and appropriate professional experience. This position requires the applicant to be enthusiastic, passionate, flexible, and willing to teach as a member of a team, in conjunction with the other Modern Language department members. The ideal applicant will also have experience with and appreciation for the Jesuit model of education, and the desire to train and care for the whole student in accordance with the Jesuit philosophy of cura personalis.
Successful candidates may also be eligible to apply for a role working with the boarding community in the dormitories. Faculty who work as dorm parents are provided housing accommodations and additional benefits.
