The Kinkaid School is seeking an energetic, innovative educator to serve as an Assistant Girls Coach starting in August 2019. This is a full-time position, the successful candidate will also be expected to teach Physical Education classes during the day and coach girls' sports in the Fall, Winter and Spring.

*Teach Lower School and/or Middle School physical education classes daily as assigned by the Director of Physical Education
*Coach for girls sports in the Fall, Winter and Spring
*Provide leadership for all assistant coaches, stressing the importance of sportsmanship and professional behavior when representing Kinkaid
*Teach fundamental skills and lead or assist on assigned teams
*Maintain appropriate, professional office hours during the year
*Maintain positive working relationships with local K-8 athletic directors/coaches; direct all prospects to the Admissions Office; and then actively collaborate with the Admissions Office in their inquiry process
*Maintain positive working relationships with the Deans and parents in the area of student athlete college placement
*Prepare and implement daily practice schedules
*Collaborate with athletic training staff on injury prevention, treatment and rehabilitation
*Completely and review End of Season Report Card “comments”
*Model and demonstrate the school’s core values of honesty, respect, responsibility and kindness while guiding the student athletes in their pursuit of academic, athletic and personal excellence as well as discipline, sportsmanship and personal fulfillment
*Accompany teams to away games as assigned
*Maintain regular school hours; some evening and weekend hours are also required when school is in session
A Bachelor’s Degree
A minimum of one year of teaching experience
A minum of one year of experience coaching girls sports, preferrably field hockey, lacrosse or soccer
Prior experience delivering physical education instructions to elementary school children will be considered a plus
Familiarity with several sports a strong plus.
