Job Description Summary
The Department of Art at Wake Forest University invites applications for a one year Visiting Artist-Teacher Fellowship, to begin July 1, 2019. All artists are welcome to apply, but we are particularly interested in artists engaged in social, environmental, and/or political practices. Candidates for the fellowship may be working with sculpture, video, performance, and intervention, amongst other media.
We welcome applications from artists from historically underrepresented groups in higher education.
The Visiting Artist-Teacher Fellow will teach one introductory studio art class and one advanced studio art class each semester, in Fall 2019 and Spring 2020. The Visiting Artist-Teacher Fellow will advise students and participate in running studio programs and appropriate departmental committees. The Visiting Artist-Teacher Fellow will present their work at Wake Forest via a lecture or other public event.
MFA required, although candidates who will graduate in May 2019 will be considered.
