Job Description Summary Applications are invited for a Teacher-Scholar Postdoctoral Fellow in Biophysics in the Department of Physics at Wake Forest University beginning July 1, 2019. We seek highly qualified candidates who have a commitment to excellence in both teaching and research.Job Description The position entails teaching undergraduate classes, mentoring undergraduate research, and conducting collaborative research with department faculty. Primary consideration will be given to candidates whose research interests overlap those of two faculty members – Keith Bonin and Martin Guthold. Their interests include optical and atomic force microscopy, next generation sequencing, cell mechanical properties and signaling, nanomechanical measurements, biological and non-biological nanofibers, such as fibrin fibers and electrospun fibers. A Ph.D. in Physics or a related area is required. The department has thriving programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels (M.S. and Ph.D).
